Children’s understands the sensitivity of your personal health information. Be assured that none of your personal health information gathered in Occupational Health Screenings or either Health Assessment (UnitedHealthcare or Healthyroads) will ever be shared with any other department at Children’s Medical Center.

Human Resources Benefits, which oversees the LiveWell programs, will receive an aggregate report of the results from the Health Assessments in order to better evaluate the effectiveness of wellness programs, and to recognize and plan necessary programs for the future. For example, Human Resources Benefits could be told that 25% of those completing the Health Assessment have elevated blood pressure, but those individual employees would never be identified.

The information gathered will never be used for employment decisions or underwriting decisions for benefits. If certain health risks are identified, your results may be shared directly with contracted wellness vendors who have completed agreements to uphold the confidentiality of your health records. These vendors — such as UnitedHealthcare, ActiveHealth Disease Management or Healthyroads — may contact you to offer services to manage and improve your health. While your participation in these programs is encouraged, it is always voluntary and your choice.
