Other Stress Management Services

LiveWell presentations and classes dealing with stress management occur throughout the year. These will be announced in the Daily Briefing and be listed on the LiveWell Introduction/Events page.

Laughter Yoga

Laughter releases healing endorphins, reduces pain, reduces stress, enhances creativity, energizes your body, and promotes an overall sense of well-being.  This is not a traditional Yoga class that involves poses and stretches.  No previous yoga experience or abilities are necessary.  It can be done sitting or standing and in your regular work clothes.  Join us for laughter exercises, yoga breathing techniques and playful fun, taught by a Certified Laughter Yoga Leader.  The next Laughter Yoga session will be announced on the Daily Briefing and on the Live Well Events page.  Space is limited so you must register for the Laughter Yoga through CHEX.  See below to see what you can expect in Laughter Yoga.

Walking Path

Sometimes it helps just to walk it off! The Walk 2 Wellness walking path at Children’s Dallas is all indoors so it is safe and convenient to use. It is accessible 24/7 for you to use, regardless of the shift you work. See the Walking Path Map and more information under LiveWell > Fitness and Weight Management > Walk to Wellness.

Labyrinth at Children’s Dallas

An 80-foot-wide classic Chartres labyrinth is in the Children’s Garden outside the Tower D Food Court for you to walk any time to quiet the mind, regain balance and reduce stress. Labyrinths are ancient patterns found in many cultures around the world. The labyrinth is not a maze, and has no tricks or dead ends. One simply follows the path that winds its way to the center. The practice of labyrinth walking integrates the body with the mind, and the mind with the spirit. The Children’s Garden also provides a serene spot with a flowing stream and waterfall, kinetic art, beautiful landscaping and outside dining areas.
