Pharmacy Services

How It Works

The Children's First Pharmacy (the Children's Ouptatient Pharmacy) provides convenient locations for filling your prescriptions and purchasing over-the-counter items at both Children's Dallas and Dallas Pavillion.

For your convenience, the Children's Outpatient Pharmacy can accept call-in refills after hours through their Automated Telephone System (See Contacts at the left). Just follow the instructions and enter your prescription number. If you are out of refills, the Automated Telephone System will fax your doctor for you. Employees can also request email reminders from the pharmacy for their prescription refills.

The pharmacies' hours are:

Children's Dallas

• 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
• 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Dallas Pavilion

• 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Generic Drug Discount Program

The Children's Outpatient Pharmacy offers a large selection of generic drugs at very competitive prices that may not be available at other retail pharmacies. In addition, there is no membership fee for the Generic Drug Program.  For a list of the currently available generic drugs and their prices, see Children's Outpatient Pharmacy Generic Drug Price List under Resources at the left. If you are enrolled in a Children's medical plan option, the Children's Outpatient Pharmacy is a network provider.
